Our trip to Chester Zoo

We’ve been to Chester Zoo twice before with Mini M.

We decided as party of the birthday week we would visit again

I booked the tickets online to get a hit of a discount. If we lived closer we’d probably get a membership but it’s a little bit far, especially when we have Blackpool Zoo so close, we get lots of use of our membership there

When we arrived the car park was busy but we had no queue to get in as we’d already got our tickets. Even walking around the zoo you could see all the animals & it didn’t feel like it was too busy

Mini M loved seeing the Rhino & the baby rhino.

He was facinated by the bat walk & the butterflies

Before we went he kept saying he wanted to see the Cheetahs, luckily they were lying down on top of a hill so he could see them

We took a picnic to make the day a bit cheaper. I thought it was great each Cafe has a microwave to warm up the baby food

Mini M also wanted to see a bear, some of the bears were hiding but we did manage to see the Sun bear

We had a fantastic day

There are some very unusual animals & it’s great the conservation work the zoo is doing

We will be back again

Chester Zoo is one I’d love to visit, I believe it has some of the most impressive animals and really well laid out. Your butterfly captures are beautiful and it’s always good to know the big bears are behind a big fence!

thank you for sharing your birthday visit on #CountryKids

I feel a zoo plays a great part in conservation, Zoos have come on in leaps and bounds from when I was a child, with all the rules and regulations on what constiutes acceptable by modern standards is so much better for the welfare of the animals.
We dont really live near a zoo, probably nearer the safari park.

Looks a great zoo – especially that it didn’t feel too busy. I do love the butterflies. We need to take picnics more when we go out as we spend far too much on food.

We have never visited Chester Zoo and it sounds like we are missing out. I particularly like days out where its not too busy especially at a zoo so you can get to see all the animals x #CountryKids
