Our Spring & Summer plans – so far…..

The next few months are looking pretty busy for The Melton House

I love Spring as we start getting out & about more

This month we’re off to Center Parcs at Whinfell, we’ve never been to Center Parcs before but have friends who have been to various sites.  We wanted to go this year as Mini M starts school in September so we will be stuck to school holiday times.  We are planning on lots of swimming & walks round the site.  We are also planning on going to Whinlatter Forest to see the Gruffalo sculptures and a trip to Windermere.

In May Mr M & I are off to the Isles of Scilly, he won a 3 night stay, neither of us have been before & we’re hoping as it’s May the weather  might be reasonable.  Our travel is included in the prize, we have to get a teeny plane from Exeter then a boat (I don’t do boats!) to the Island we are staying on.  Our meals are included so all we have to pay for is drinks & whatever we decide to do whilst we are there.  It’ll be a nice break just the 2 of us, my mum is babysitting

At the end of May we’re going to see Shrek the Musical as it is in Blackpool.  I love musical theatre, I was brought up on it, I’m looking forward to seeing what the show is like.

In June we’re off to a cottage with my family for a week to celebrate my mum’s 60th. My brother is coming with his partner & dog too so it’ll be us all together.  I’m really looking forward to it.  The cottage is near Cayton Bay on the North East coast.  We went to Scarborough for a day when I was pregnant with Mini M but other than that we haven’t been to that area.  Everyone keeps telling us we have to go to Whitby for Fish & Chips.  We’re going to try be out every day & do fun things with the boys

In July we’re off to Chester for a few days for mine & Baby M’s birthday.  We’re going to visit the zoo & the Ice Cream Farm, as well as hopefully a trip to Cheshire Oaks.  We love Chester!  We’ve booked a cottage there for a few days as it gives a bit more flexibility with the boys than a hotel.

August will be our month of rest, before Mr M & I head to London in September for a long weekend for our wedding anniversary.  One of the things we have booked already is tickets to The Cursed Child

What do you have planned for the next few months?  Any recommendations of places to visit or do when we are away?
