Our Ireland holiday

We had a lovely family holiday in Ireland.  It feels like forever ago now.  We spent a week in Bannow, Co. Wexford for a week with my folks and brother.

There was a beautiful beach near the house (about 10 minutes walk) and the weather was fantastic all week so we spent quite a bit of our time when we were at the house on the beach.  The dog loved it too

Wexford was only 25 minutes away, this was where the local supermarket was so we spent quite a few trips back and and forth as you need a lot of food for 5 adults and a 9 month old!

Wexford has a lovely Opera House and we went there for lunch one day.  The staff were fantastic, the food was amazing and they were so family friendly! They couldn’t do enough for Baby M

We had a walk along the harbour afterwards to walk off our lunch.

We found another fantastic beach at a place called Curracloe beach

The beach was spotless and huge!  There was also a little arcade that sold ice creams.  Parking was free too!

Another day we visited Kilkenny.  Me & my mum indulged in a little retail therapy

It was a beautiful town and we had lunch in the grounds of the castle, had ice cream and visited the park

We had a fantastic time and to be honest there was so much we could have done that we didn’t manage.  A week just wasn’t long enough.  Baby M had a great time and every where we went was family friendly.

We don’t get to spend time as a big family that often so this was a really special holiday

What a wonderful relaxing looking holiday with good weather, miles of beaches and family close. I hope you get to return again next year. Thank you for sharing with me on Country Kids

That looked like a very relaxed holiday. I think your beach visit were more successful than my day trip in August with my 3 kids. No.1 son (13) refused to get out of the car. I failed to get our kite aloft. And the car had to be pushed out of the sand. #CountryKids
