My Baby Shower

baby shower

On Saturday I had my baby shower

I was a little anxious about having it at home, mainly because I have cream carpets in my living room.  I decided to make the living room out of bounds, luckily our dining room/play area is big enough to fit everyone in

We had a huge buffet thanks to my friend & another friend baked a cake & cupcakes

We played some games – pin the dummy on the baby, which a 3 year old won! And guess the items in the changing bag, which my friend without children won!

As everyone arrived they were asked to put their fingerprint on a print which I am going to frame & put in bumps room

Everyone was also asked to fill out a predictions card, including a name.  We’ve have a few ideas for names but wondered if we might get some inspiration from others.  It was interesting to see what people thought we might call bump.  It was also interesting to see what date people chose, most of my friends know I’m having a section but a few put a date after my due date which I thought was funny

My friend also brought some wooden blocks & asked everyone to design a block for bump.  Everyone really got into that & a couple of my work friends made quite a few!

There was also an activity for the little people, they made cards.  The sun came out & they also played in the garden

I was shocked with how generous everyone was, bump is a very lucky boy!!  I already had a lot of gifts from people at work, the baby’s room is currently full of gift bags!

I had a lovely afternoon & everyone said they had fun too.  The afternoon flew by, it started at 2pm & the last person left a 7pm.
